Do you ever drive by one of those little libraries, and think “Oh that’s so cute!” but then you keep driving and when you think about going back to the library, you cannot remember where it was? I was definitely one of those people, and then I came across this website which has a map of all the Little Free Libraries. I was excited to find 6 libraries within a couple miles radius of my home.
Little Free Library “is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. Through Little Free Libraries, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds.”
I visited 3 of these little libraries this afternoon and dropped off books I no longer needed, and picked up some new ones for myself. Each library was a little different, and each was filled with a variety of books. I was able to find a book to take home from each. I definitely plan to be a regular visit of these little libraries from now on, and will likely always keep a book in my car so I can stop when I drive by in the future!
